Terms and conditions

The terms that apply when you buy from DEFINZA. They do not affect your statutory rights.

1. Who we are

This website is operated by DEFINZA, 12-13, Whitchurch Parade, Whitchurch Ln, Edgware, HA8 6LR, United Kingdom. Telephone +44 7723 145225. You can also contact us through our contact page.

2. Placing an order

To order, add pieces to your basket, go to the checkout, enter your details, check the summary of your order and select the button to place your order and pay. You can correct any details before you place the order. Our checkout is in English.

When you place an order we send you an email confirming it. The contract between us is formed when we send that confirmation. Your order details are included in the confirmation email for you to keep, and are available in your account if you created one.

3. Prices and payment

Prices are in pounds sterling. Delivery is free on every order, so the total shown at checkout is the full amount you pay; there are no further charges on delivery. If we have made an obvious error in a price, we will tell you and give you the choice of continuing at the correct price or cancelling for a full refund. See Payment.

4. Delivery

Delivery is free. We deliver within the time shown on the product page and in our Delivery information, and in any case within 30 days unless we agree a different time with you. The goods are our responsibility until they are delivered to you.

5. Your right to cancel and our returns policy

You have the legal right to cancel your contract within 14 days, without giving a reason. The cancellation period ends 14 days after the day you, or someone you name, receive the goods (or the last of them). In addition, our returns policy lets you return goods for any reason within 30 days of delivery.

To cancel, tell us clearly, for example by phone or through our contact page. You can use the model cancellation form, but you do not have to. You must send back the goods, or make them available for collection, within 14 days of telling us.

We refund all payments received from you for the returned goods without undue delay and no later than 14 days after we receive the goods back, or you provide evidence of having sent them back, whichever is earlier. We use the same payment method you used. You pay the direct cost of returning parcel items if you change your mind; for large items we collect, the collection charge is £49 per order. You are liable for any loss in value of the goods resulting from handling them more than is necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning. See Returns and refunds.

6. Faulty goods

We are under a legal duty to supply goods that are in conformity with this contract. Your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 are summarised on our Returns and refunds page. Returns of faulty goods are free.

7. Our products

We describe every piece with its dimensions, materials and finishes. Natural and handmade materials vary, so small differences in grain, veining, weave and glaze from the pictures are normal and are not a fault. Colours on screen can differ slightly from the real piece.

8. Our responsibility to you

We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We do not exclude or limit our liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for breach of your legal rights in relation to the goods.

9. Complaints

Please see Complaints.

10. Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland, you can also bring proceedings in Scotland and you keep the protection of Scottish consumer law.
